Starting credits on Mark Up. Every specialization is built from a 600 CR base minus its setup costs, which is why a Gunsmith opens with only 150. "Rent +" marks a higher starting rent.

Three numbers that matter

Rent

Due Day 7 at 200 CR, up 5% every cycle on Mark Up. Thin Margins and Red Ink start with no Landlord's Grace, so refusing the first payment ends the run.

Deed

The store deed costs 12,000 / 24,000 / 36,000 CR depending on difficulty. Buying it triggers the Buyout ending and ends rent forever — but it must be paid in one lump.

Augs

On the default path, the Mentor brings the shotgun and the identification guide on Day 12. Augs want raw materials and medical supplies, so watch those requests closely.
